Travelling by Car

Leicester is well connected by two motorways.  If you are arriving from outside of Leicester then use the following as a rough guide to getting here:

Arriving by the M1Exit at Junction 21 (for A5460 and A563)and follow the Getting to the Park guide below

Arriving by the M69Exit the M69 (which terminates in Leicester) and follow the  Getting to the Park guide below

Getting to the ParkAfter you exit the M1 or M69 follow the A5460 which will take you towards the city centre.  Unfortunatly there is very limited parking at Victoria Park and so the best option is to park on one of the many car parks located in the city.

Follow the signs for the Highcross Shiopping Centre.  As you approach the city you will see signs for various car parks and the number of spaces available.  Below is a list of the car parks available in order of distance from the park (the first being the nearest):

1. East Street NCP, North Road, Leicester, LE1 6NB
2. Dover Street Car Park, Dover Street, Leicester, LE1 6PT - The NCP above is easy to get to if this is full.
3. Train Station Car Park, Station Street, LE1 1AA (not recommended, its quite small)
4. St Georges Tower, Fox Street, LE1 1AA
5. EuroParks, Almond Road Car Park, Almond Road, Leicester, LE2 7LH - Max 3 hour stay
6. Rutland Centre NCP, Rutland Street, 56 Halford Street, Leicester, LE1 1TQ
7. Welford Road NCP, Duke Street, Leicester, LE1 6WA
8. Phoenix (Newarke Street), York Road, Leicester, LE2 7AD
9. Highcross (Rooftop) Car Park, 5 Shires Lane, LE1 4AN
10. Haymarket Centre Car Park, Leicester, LE1 3HQ
11. Leicester Lee Circle NCP, Lee Street, Leicester, LE1 3RE
12. Garden Street (Multi-Storey) NCP, Garden Street, LE1 3UA
13. Holiday Inn/St. Nicholas Circle, St. Nicholas Circle, Leicester, LE1 4LF

There is a free pride bus available on the day to take you to the park
